Mycostrip® Sampling Instructions                     PRINT FRIENDLY VERSION

Using the sampling kit provided by ERT is simple and easy to do. There are basically 4 items that have come with your kit:

1. Microscope Slides- 3 units    2. Microscope Slide Mailer- 1 unit    3. Mycostrip®- 3 units

By following these simple instructions, the sampling process should be quick and easy. 

Step 1: Gently remove the Mycostrip® from its backing, being careful not to tear the tabs or contaminate the strip by touching any surface. The Mycostrip® has a tendency to tear when care is not taken while removing. Be Careful as you remove it from the sheet. If you need additional Mycostrips® contact us.

Step 2: With the adhesive side away from you, grip the white tabs with your thumb and index finger and while apply pressure push the adhesive side out. See Image

Step 3: Lightly touch the surface to be sampled and apply pressure until stop tabs  come into contact with surface.

Step 4: Pull away from the surface and immediately place long ways onto the provided microscope slide.

Step 5: With a permanent marker, be sure to number the slide and record where the sample was taken on provided record sheet.
